The brand new Celerio is the next big launch of Maruti Suzuki: All you need to know about the new car

Maruti Suzuki is India's largest car manufacturer. They have different models in their portfolio. One of the models he has worked on recently is Celerio. They have been working on the next generation Celerio and the same has been seen being tested on our streets many times.

Maruti introduced the Celerio in 2014 and since then, not much has been changed or updated on the hatchback. The brand new Celerio is expected to be introduced in the market later this month and here's what we know about this upcoming hatchback.

Design

The current Celerio actually has a boxy and design tall boy. The new version of the Celerio is based on the HEARTECT platform already used in many other Maruti vehicles such as WagonR, Swift and Dzire. Celerio's overall design has been modified. It doesn't get the boy's long design anymore. The front lights look smaller and smoother than the current version and the bumpers are also redesigned. There is probably a chrome strap on the front of the grille with the Suzuki logo.

the bumper is also expected to get fog lamps in the upper trim. Since this is based on a new platform, it looks a little bigger than the current version. The upper trim is expected to get alloy wheels and the lower variants will only get steel wheels. The upper variant will have ORVMs with integrated curve indicators and the lower variant will have a curve indicator on the side fender.

At the back, the brand new Celerio gets a bumper, a boot and a redesigned tail. There is a high stop lamp mounted on top and the boot opening handle is placed near the tail itself. All in all, the design in Celerio looks completely different from the current version but, we feel, the production version of Celerio may look like an older version of Alto.

Interior items

As with the exterior, the interior of the new Celerio will also be redesigned. It will find features such as hand AC, charging socket, and plenty of storage space. AC pipes are facing upwards in the dashboard. The dark room will have silver markings on the areas that will give it a new look. Electric windows will also be available with a hatchback. There will be a Maruti Suzuki SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The instrument set will be analog and the controls may receive infotainment system controls. In terms of safety, Celerio will get ABS, two airbags, parking sensors as usual.

As we all know, Celerio is available with the option of a petrol engine only. The new generation Celerion will also be fitted with a petrol engine only. It will use a 1.0 liter, three-cylinder, a naturally occurring fuel engine that produces 67 Ps and 90 Nm of torque. There is even a possibility that Maruti Suzuki could offer a 1.2 liter petrol engine with high variability. This engine produces 81 Ps and 113 Nm of torque. Both petrol engines will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The upcoming CNG version of CNG fuel is also expected to be launched next time.
