We are here today with a report on brand car sales. In today's post, we will look at the best-selling car products in India. Here you will see which car product sold the most cars last month. Without further ado, let’s get started!

1. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.  

Maruti also led the month in sales.  It sold 32,903 units in MAY. However Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,35,879 passenger vehicles domestically in April. Although, these numbers have helped Maruti retain the top spot however the brand has seen a dip of 76% in one month. Due Covid 19 2nd wave, It's Market share 31.9% in this month compared to 47.4% in April.

2. Hyundai Motors India Ltd.

Hyundai Motors is the second largest car manufacturer in the country. Hyundai sold  25,001 units in May.  The brand sold of 49,002 units in April.  the company also saw a dip of 49%. But Surprisingly It's market share in May is 24,2% compared to 17.1% in April. 

3. Tata Motors

Tata Motors sold a total of 15,181 units of passenger vehicles in May making it the 3rd top-selling brand in the country. However Tata Motors 25,095 units of passenger vehicles in April . Tata, like Maruti and Hyundai, also saw a 40% decrease in passenger car sales compared to April this year. Like Hyundai Motors, Tata motor's market share also increased and it's market share is 14.7% compared to 8.8% in April.

4. Kia Motors India

Kia motors sold 11.550 units in May. The brand sold 16,111 units in April. This is a decline of 31% which clearly reflects the impact of the situation in the country. Kia, similar to  Tata and Hyundai, also saw a growth in terms of market share. It's market share in May is 10.7% compared to 5.6% in April.

5. Mahindra & Mahindra

Mahindra & Mahindra sold 8,004 units in May. Due to this, the brand stood at the 5th spot. The brand sold 18,186 units in April. This is a decline of almost 50%.  Surprisingly, It saw a growth in terms of market share. It's market share in May is 7.8% compared to 3.6% in April.

6.Renault India

Renault India sold 2,620 units in May thanks to its strong products like Kwid, Triber and Kiger. The brand sold a total of 8642 cars in April, however, the brand also had to see a negative chart dip the brand’s sales have come down by 70%. currently it has  2.5% of market share.

7.Honda Cars India

 Honda cars sold 2,032 units in May. Honda sold 9072 units in April This comes out to be a 77.6% negative jump. 

 however, the brand also had to see a negative chart dip in terms of market share. Its market share is 2% compared to 3.2% in April.

8. Volkswagen India

Volkswagen sold 1425 units in May. It shows a small 7% decline in sales compared to April. also It market share is 1.4% compared to 0.5% in April.

9. Nissan motors India:

Nissan came out to be the 9th top-selling brand in the country for the month of May. Nissan managed to sell  1,235 units compared to 3369 units in April. Currently It has 1.2% market share.

10.Morris Garages India

Morris Garages India sold 1,016 units in May.  The brand sold  a total of 2,600 units in April, 

however, the brand also had to see a negative chart dip the brand’s sales have come down by 61%. It's market share is 1% in May compared to 0.1% in April.
