Maruti Suzuki has been exploring the WagonR EV road for some time now. The car was scheduled to be launched in 2020, however, the alleged reason for the delay was said to be poor infrastructure.


The WagonR EV is expected to provide distances of 130 km 180 km. In addition, the car is charged up to 80% per hour.


The car seems to have the potential to be one of the most anticipated electric cars in India. 


Altroz ​​EV

Tata’s Altroz ​​has already set a high standard for hot hatchbacks in the country. Put two letters E and V in it, and things are often interesting to them.


The car manager is expected to launch the EV version of Altroz ​​by the end of 2021. Altroz ​​EV is expected to pack the same power as the Nexon EV. The 30.2kWh battery pack is expected to provide a range of 250 to 300 km.


In addition, the battery can be charged up to 80% per hour using a DC fast charger.

XUV300 EV



Another electric car from the Mahindra stable is the eXUV300.


While the car is already capable of heating the compact SUV segment, but the electric iteration may be successful.


It will be available in two variants - long distance and standard. While the first offers a distance of 350-400 km, the latter offers a distance of 200 km. With a proud sales record and an impressive Global NCAP rating, the XUV300 could be on the list of upcoming electric cars to look out for.


KUV100 EV



After Auto Expo 2020, eKUV became one of the most anticipated events of the year.


However, due to locking down, the implementation may be postponed. Mahindra is expected to launch the Mini-SUV by the end of the first quarter of 2021.


The electric eKUV100 will install a 40kWh electric vehicle producing 53 bhp and produce 120Nm of torque. Offering a range of 120 miles, the car will be charged up to 80% per hour.



Kwid EV

Renault Kwid Electric is expected to introduce in 2021. It is currently sold in China as K-ZE.


Electric Kwid will be the first to be fully electrified by Renault in India when it is launched. Kwid Electric is powered by a 26.8kWh battery that offers 270 km in one charge. Once launched, the electric Kwid will give tough competition to WagonR EV.
